Moulana Yaqoob Akhondi is serving as the Resident Aalim (Scholar) of the community. Moulana Yaqoob Akhondi is available in the Masjid for consultations, discussions and answering any questions you may have regarding Islam, Fiqh and personal issues/problems.

Daily Prayers
We hold Daily prayer (except Fajr) every day. Moulana Yaqoob Akhondi or Sheikh Shobar leads the prayer.

Friday Prayer
We hold Friday prayer every Friday. Moulana Yaqoob Akhondi leads the prayer.
Dua-e-Kumail Program
Each Thursday followed by Maghrib prayer in the center, we hold Dua-e-Kumail program. Local community member participate in the program with the recitation of The Holy Quran, Hadith-e-Kisa and Dua-Kumail. The program ends with recitation of the Ziyarat.
Sunday School for children
Sunday School is the most important program of our center where we educate our next generation according to the teachings of Islam and Ahl-ulBait (AS). Sunday School follows a curriculum devised by prominent Shia schools in the US. For Sunday School's website Click Here.

Funeral Services
We have instituted a Funeral Fund for community members to help defray the high cost of burial in this area. We also have arrangements with one of the local funeral homes for ghusl (washing) services.
we provide and assist in the following services:
- performing ghusl (washing)
- providing kafan (shrouding)
- arranging for Janaza Prayer and burial/grave
- assisting in getting the death certificate
- arranging transportation from home or hospital
- any other funeral related issues.

Community Help Services
The Center has distinguished itself by assisting in the settlement of refugees from Iraq and Afghanistan. Over the last twenty years we have helped settle over seventy five Shia families in the Capital District.

Annual Hussain Day Procession (Juloos)
In 2019, we started to organize the Annual Juloos (Hussain Day Precession), in downtown Albany, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions. A large number of people participated in the event. The procession ended with great speeches from local and national speakers including the Mayor of Albany.
